I have a couple of stocks that went under the 1 dollar requirement for listing and so the companies received the compliance warning.
Obviously it would depend on the company/its health, but how often does it happen for a company to be in this situation and actually meet the requirement again reliably, e.g. using the reverse split?
I bought in a significant bit above 1 dollar so the only way I see myself not losing anything on these is buying now to average under 1 dollar and hope it does go up to 1 at least, but naturally I don't want to do that if it's already a lost cause anyway.

There's articles on how delisting goes, but didn't see a mention of what generally happens in that situation, apart from one mentioning:

If you're asking this, you probably have neither the instincts to determine the bottom of that recession crash nor enough money for it to matter ($10k in SPY at 390 or 290 doesn't matter as much as you, say, putting in the effort to job hop and get an extra $10k salary). DCA.

Cash is a legitimate part of portfolio allocations. However if you don't know exactly what those other parts of your portfolio should be, you'd almost certainly be using it wrong. Stick to Boglehead/total market DCAing with a 6 month emergency fund until you can explain the difference between your broker's money market fund, UUP, BIL, TLT, and I-Bonds.
