If we want to get technical with IRS language, the smart contract is the one doing the transferring initially from a wallet you do not have control over. Once the LINK is in YOUR wallet, then you can transfer the actual tokens. What if there was an undelegation period like with other crypto? If it took 1 month from the time you clicked "withdraw," at what point do you gain control of the funds? When they hit your wallet or when you click "withdraw?"

Yes the amount is currently not much. For the latter to matter you either need to be dirty poor and not be able to pay tax on the small amount of link you earn or link needs to go-to a very large number. The fud is so disappointing

>> No.52760960

>>52760588
My interpretation is that the rewards become taxable at the earliest possible time that you could have transferred to a wallet you own and sold/disposed/whatever, even if you made the choice not to do so at that time. If you earn 1 token in rewards, but choose not to withdraw it immediately, the fact remains that you COULD HAVE done so immediately and therefore you have control over that token. Another phrase the IRS uses is "complete dominion," which applies here since the decision on what happens with that token rests entirely in your hands, regardless if it's in a wallet you own, or being held in by a smart contract.

Introducing a withdrawal delay of 1 month to the equation is interesting. In that case the earliest possible time you could have gained complete dominion over the reward is the exact date you COULD HAVE clicked withdraw + 1 month.

I'll be interested to see what the IRS decides on this matter once they finally release some clear guidance on the subject. Until then, I'm not willing to potentially get fucked for 4.75% APR.

That error code usually means you have the wrong application opened on the ledger. Are you sure you selected Eth?

Yea honestly, I'm just here to watch the banks collapse one day. I've been bankrupted several times by my degeneracy but I'd rather be robbed in the pursuit of the banks demise than by the banks themselves.

It's better than zero percent (less than inflation tho). Maybe will get to stay in this official pool in the future too. Also we're getting BUILD shitcoins, there might be some good ones in there. + Most of us staked with multiple wallets

>in a bull and link goes to $50 then that's $2375 for doing nothing
so the only scenario where this doesn't suck is when link price is higher in a year from now? assuming unstaking is possible by then
