That tweet is from somewhere in 2021. Starting in 2020 you can tell Vitalik is realizing oracles are actually needed, but his outspoken disdain for Chainlink over the years makes it hard from him to just come out and say it.

Can't find the video but it's of Vitalik a few months back referring cheekily to CCIP/Chainlink with a smile on his face as a solution to a problem he is discussing in one of his presentations. Seems like he is finally warming up to the idea of bending the knee.
