Its only had a small effect on my blood pressure. From slightly high, to high end of normal.
On the other hand my heart rate is very low when on it. 50 when excited, 40 when relaxed.

Okay, I talked it out a little. The plan is to stick it out for 2.5 more weeks until Christmas break, and add all my paid leave on to the Christmas break so I'm not back to work until Thursday on the 3rd week of Jan. And give my 2 weeks notice on my first day back.

unless you have elevated bp you risk hypotension to the point of reducing oxygen supply to the brain, 40mg is the upper bound of therapeutic doses so it's alot and normally doctors add ace inhibitors or calcium channel blockers instead of maxing out on beta blockers so there's that oh and never try to quit beta blockers cold turkey - your blood pressure will spike and you risk stroking out
