I'm in a similar position. Would've been nice if I'd caught wind of this sooner, but the silver is a tertiary thing anyway. If there's a monetary reset, you can preserve your current wealth through the chaos. If gold is revalued, you would sell, but quickly roll that into other hard assets like real estate. At this point, it's insurance against the monetary debauchery that's currently en vogue. I've already decided I'll hold until retirement, it's a savings vehicle for me. If I could buy a complete farm or something similar in the future because of massive gains, I would sell part. It would have to be massive gains, most everyone here doesn't hold life changing amounts of pms. The few that do hold ""large"" amounts already have shit to begin with.

That's how I see it, which would mean that in my view people who are putting all of their money in PMs are basically just putting all of their money into savings. Definitely safe and not the worst thing you could do, but...?

i buy and hold for store of value in times of currency crisis. I'm canadian and dont trust the currency long term. i'll cash it out. as i need it. At 12% inflation it will be worth 3x in 10 years.

I buy and sell scrap and try to capture the premium when i can and hold scrap, coins, and bars. i predict inflation in canada will speed up since people already have a hard time renting apartments here because of price - and the gov will have to print money to pay housing subsidies - which over time will cause an inflation cascade. 12 percent inflation year over year IMO is even a low estimate. Once inflation picks up gold will moon relative to fiat.

Average rent in my city is 2500CAD. At 12 percent inflation that's 4000 CAD/ month average rent for a studio apartment in my city. That's the average take home pay also in my city after tax. That means at the current inflation trajectory the majority of people wont be able to rent and the gov will have to hand out subsidies. I dont know when the inflation cascade happens but for canadians i think it isnt far away.

when it happens i'll melt anything that i can't sell. even my omega constellation megaquartz.

$4000 / month after tax take home pay is actually well above minimum wage. Minimum wage is 15.76/ hour with a monthly after tax take home pay of around $1880.

That means a studio costs about 30 percent more than after tax minimum wage monthly earnings.

Within 4 years not only will minimum wage workers be priced out by inflation but working people with higher salaries as well.

Housing subsidies for everybody and hyperinflation by 2030.

theres nothing super wrong with buying a gold bar but it might be less of a hassle to just buy a gold coin or 2. the premiums are a bit higher. if you stick with bars i would go with 50 g or 20 gm bars, not a 100 gm bar for liquidity and divisibility

Gold is good for wealth protection and as an inflation hedge. Silver is the inflation hedge with an extreme speculative upside without the risk of going to zero. Don't count on getting rich, but do count on profiting relative to the purchasing power of the currency at the time of purchase of the silver when you can eventually use it. Gold and Silver isn't an investment, it's a currency exchange. You're giving up your dollars, which will inflate and lose value, for precious metals that will hold value.

It's a just-in-case item since there are all sorts of hard times that are possible.
If it so happens that one of the designs can sell for a pretty penny more than it was bought for, that might be cool.
I'd already be working on plans for becoming more wealthy if I didn't want to first prepare (to the extent that I can) for scenarios that could kill me before that work is done.
It'd be a different story if my circumstances only allowed for immediate necessities.

i wish you didn't feel that way; about drowning.
i'm apart of a trap shooting team that's all boomers and maybe two early gen X'ers

they simply have a different outlook on life. i'm lucky that i'm conservative and they treat me like gold; giving me gifts and offering things. i only get that because they see i think like them and share their values. maybe the same will work for you. i do value these elders for their opinions because i think they think 'this is how the world works' though it doesn't work like that anymore.
ironically i collect PMs like their fathers thought process but whatever.

i don't think you sound greedy at all. my wife and i are 34 without children. we are trying; but i want to leave my children and grandchildren an abundance of wealth or useful sustainability like arable lands and skills.
your greedy attitude is completely sound. 200 years ago you would've worked to sustain your father's lands in fertility and continued the livestock and crops he once raised.
call me a schizophrenic old soul but i do believe we've broken what was once a reasonable and fulfilling chain of familial hand downs. your DNA knows this is wrong but modern times are why they are.

Yeah, the 9x limit only applies to one bank lending to another, 9 times in a row. So technically someone can save $1000, bank lends $900 to another bank, that bank lends $810, next bank lends $729... on and on until the 9th bank $387 but cannot lend it to another bank, but CAN lend it to a person (hahaha those wacky jews and their loop holes) who can then save that money in a bank... like bank #7 who can effectively lend that out 9x over.

i could have a little bit wrong but thats the just of it. If i got any of it wrong, you can be sure that whatever is correct is equally if not more fucked up.

Looks much better in this video:

It's a little tempting (just one). I wish that it was either a rectangular bar or they had removed that rectangle if it was going to have an uneven edge.

>Im so close to finally reaching $100 FV in copper pennies

The copper value of a 1909-1982 penny is $0.02
$0.02 x 10,000 = $200.00

WHY DON'T YOU JUST BUY A 100 OZ COPPER BAR FOR $200?
HOW LONG DID IT TAKE YOU TO COLLECT AND DATE 10,000 PENNIES?
WHY NOT BUY THE COPPER AND MAINTAIN YOUR SANITY?
WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO PROVE TO THE WORLD?
PLEASE STOP COUNTING THE PENNIES ANON.

I'm not an expert on eagles, but I also have reason to believe something other than clipping went on. The edge looks like it has something like a number stamped in an area where there is no reeding. I don't know if that's a particular feature of the 1994 or a result of some third-party mod, but it would be very strange for a clipper to bother putting something there.

Let's see if we can work this out and find out which has better valuation.
Each Pre-1982 penny weighs approximately 3.11 grams and has a composition of 95% copper.
>3.11x0.95= 2.95
>For each penny that I get, I have 2.95g of pure copper that I've got for exactly 1 cent.
>If I were to just outright buy this 100oz copper bar I could have instead 8000 copper pennies for face value.
>8000x2.95= 23600g of pure copper
>23600/31.1= 758 troy ounces of pure copper for the EXACT same price as this $80 bar.

Stop paying stupidly large premiums on copper bars, it's literally jewish bullion dealers that push for this bullshit.

Mr. Goldberg probably shaved down the edges to fit the coin into a poorly made bezel and stamped the numbers onto it as part of his jewelry business.
It's a shame some careless Jew had to clip your coin, 1994 is a key date for Eagles; it pretty regularly sold for $40 back when normal Eagles were $1-2 over spot.

>> No.52726666

I stack Bitcoin/eth/link. I started stacking silver and gold two years ago and was paying high premiums for cool pieces. Got over my head and had to sell my whole stack except for my 1 ounce gold Perth Mint dragon. Now I just stack cheapest silver and 1/10 the gold maples. Buy when you can afford it. Keep it simple stupid.
