Token holders are cucks who exist to be dumped on for profit. Simple as that.
It's quite literally not in their interest or business model to have the token spike up to 1k eoy. Consistently dumping the token to offset demand makes sense.
Of course the demand to push the token to that price might exist in a world where they weren't suppressing the price via dumps for profit.
But that world is not our world.

The amount of demand it takes to sustain 1k is quite high. And once it gets to 1k, who's going to keep buying in? Isn't it better to milk it for another 5-10 years rather than have one giant boom bust cycle where a bunch of /biz/ people make it with their fabled 1k eoy and sell out?
The hope based holder driven business model with consistant demand and excessive corporate spending to justify it it, with no actual legal obligations to token holders is simply a phenomenal business achievement that they'd be crazy to squander by allowing some kind of crazy blow off top to happen.

If by staking you mean a contract that lets people deposit a maximum of 7000 LINK tokens for maybe 5% and maybe Chainlink will let you withdraw those tokens and rewards (and maybe this will include BUILD rewards) after 9-12 months then sure, staking is well and truly here within 4 days.
