Checked and basically the thesis is all of the short positions that existed at ultra low prices got rolled into swaps while GME continued to be shorted via legal means in addition to abusing the locate to borrow system to fraudulently create an assload of failures to deliver that people then purchased and direct registered. After that it's just been a massive fud campaign rivaling the one against trump when he was running for president and people have kept buying and direct registering more. At this point it's all the shorts can do to keep it a flat line, and that won't keep working anymore sooner rather than later - one more fiscal quarter and there'll be enough shares direct registered with retail and company insiders that even just the publicly available short positions can't even be closed, two million more shares after that and they'll be at 51% control of the company which is majority.

That's about as succinctly as I can break it down and I will not be responding to anyone that replies to this as even just asking the question halfass smells like a slide attempt even if it's actually just a good faith question.

One thing that might help is the defaults. If JPow truly intends to save the dollar then he'll let things fall instead of bail them out. The majority of our inflation money is imaginary debt numbers in a computer owed to a bank somewhere. It's entirely predicated on government response to crisis. Is the government willing to allow a deleveraging event to occur? They weren't in 2008 but they are skirting with it right now because inflation is high and it's politically expedient. I think deleveraging is better than hyperinflation for the masses, but a true deleveraging event would scour the financial industry which the collective governments of the world would likely be extremely unwilling to see happen.

Great depression was a deflationary crisis which isn't really possible (great depression saw a 30% reduction in M2 dollar supply, we'd need like a 60% correction to slay the beast and that'd kill us in the process) and a weimar inflationary scenario would basically be the death of the nation because of how much power USD has. I have no doubt CBDC's are coming, but CBDC's are not going to fix anything. The point I was trying to make was about the debt being a problem, CBDCs don't do anything to deal with the massive amount of unsustainable government and private sector liabilities that have built up. If they absolve debt by some magic conversion trick, that's the same as a debt default which instantly triggers Great Depression 2.0. Dollars (including dollars in the database of a bank) as they exist are not really functionally different than what a CBDC is, fiat money, blockchain ledgers just allow a more detailed tracking of transactions so the government can exert more control over personal spending and just generally be more intrusive. There's no magic rabbit that government's can pull out of a hat here.
