i own a 2020 r8 which is the same car as a huracan after you throw an exhaust on it, but for 50-100k less. it's a lot less flashy, and also more rare due to less demand, which is either a pro or con based on how you feel about attention
180k when i bought it, 15k for hre wheels, 70k for a twin turbo (1000hp), 6k for ppf, i've put 50k miles on it taking it on road trips and daily, and i had an offer on it for 300k 2 months ago. nothing has ever broke, no issues whatsoever, extremely reliable, unbelievably fun, best exhasut note maybe minus a db12 or something, 100% if you can buy it you won't regret it. i assume 99% of people want the huracan so get that in some absurd color and be a baller. anyone saying it's cheap trash is extremely poor and seething. the cars are literally hand built and they can handle hardcore abuse without issue

Even then, it's a stretch purchase. 10 mil is $300,000 - 400,000k a year in safe post-inflation returns, so the Lamborghini is half of your budget for that year.

Honestly, you can probably pull it off at 5 mil net worth, but it will look like pathetic flexing.

Logic: At 10mil, you are probably living in a nice 3-car garage house and you aren't risking your financial future with a 250k purchase.

At 5 mil, you are retiring in a middle class neighborhood and will look like an idiot with the lambo.

once the leasing costs (yes, not buying but leasing) are less than 10% of your monthly divident earnings. With a broad divi ETF you get 6000k monthly when you invest 2 million. Is that enough for the 10% rule? Prolly not. Double that (4 million invested)? Maybe. Depends on the lambo I guess kek.

This is how I approach getting a car btw. Not a lambo because I prolly will never afford it but maybe a nice modest car. I have six figures in crypto and still take the bus, train and bike.

I can. I was around $5MM ath last year, friends found out. It becomes who you are when they find out. No more just hanging as friends. All they think about is how to be a "part" of your wealth. Constantly coming up with "business" ideas and asking you for money for those ideas. Asking why you aren't buying every expensive car/house all the time. It sucks. Don't let anybody know you made it if you do. If you have to have an expensive toy or house just act like you went overboard and really wanted it and you are in huge debt and can barely make the payments etc... Yes. That said I have seen many people who more or less lucked into money in their 20s and early 30s buy them with net worths of $4-7 million.
Usually, they will keep them a couple of years and then replace them with a more reasonable car (e.g. Porsche, Audi etc.)

From a pure transport utility standpoint it's obviously retarded. But they use the car as a social tool, it can improve their social value, get them questionable pussy and fun.
