Stocks will keep going up at least until the time that they start going down again. Honestly by the time any dividend stock makes your tax bill really bad you'd be retired and in a lowered tax bracket anyway. Holding stocks for 1+ years means a reduced tax shafting. So what exactly is the roundabout way of investing in AI?
Is it the energy sector? Hard materials sector? Microprocessor sector?
Despite all the hype of AI, I believe it is still underhyped. Same with the timeline of arrival: AI will master what is readily learned faster than we think, but will take a lot longer for it to proliferate than we think. My reasoning is simple: it is perhaps easier to program the AI than it is to make the materials necessary for the AI (batteries, material infrastructure, robots, microprocessors, as popular examples).

But what else would AI effect?

probably through nickel or copper mines. they will still have to go through decades of r&d to get to the point that it will be easier to program AI than it is to procure the materials to make them. those type of engineers love planned redundancies. the only way to get ahead is to be on the resource side or get lucky with an ipo that moons.

Oil has also broken down. That was the mark of top of the final 2008 bear rally before the big plunge. Oil market figured out what was gonna happen before anybody else I think it has again.

Short end yields ain't cracked yet, but I don't trust yields. Bonds have too much forced selling. Don't think there's a real economic signal there.
