Stocks will keep going up at least until the time that they start going down again. We will know for sure when that occurs because price changes will switch from an upward direction to a downward one. The main indicator that we can use to identify this switch is that we will start to see stock prices falling instead of rising. That will tell us when returns on stocks have begun changing from positive to negative. With negative returns, that means that stock values will be shrinking rather than growing. Thus, the prices at which stocks are bought and sold will be going down instead of going up. In fact, if a stock's price is changing, then that means it is either falling or rising.

Seeking Alpha has some analysis on SKYT if any anon's are interested.
>This is already being seen in its GAAP gross profit, which jumped in the third quarter to $8.3 million or 15.8 percent of revenues. On a non-GAAP basis, gross margin increased to 16.8 percent, exceeding company expectations. Going forward, the SKYT guided for non-GAAP gross margin to be at around 15.4 percent. The improvement in gross margin came from the earlier-than-expected launch of Phase 2 of the Rad-Hard program, fab efficiency improvements, and the implementation of its cost-cutting plan.

So fucking sick of everything being shitty here, economy, wages, costs of doing any fucking thing, future prospects, women, weather and now they want to put the icing on the cake and tax the fuck out of us.

EVERYONE on Twitter is bullish. EVERYONE is calling for a Santa Rally. Many are calling for a soft landing with inflation conveniently falling to 2% as the slows rate hikes. Some are saying we make new ATHs in the next 2 months.

I think we've reached peak bullishness. October was peak bearishness, and this rally was well-deserved to wipe out cocky shorts. But now I feel like bulls are getting high on their own hopium and bulls will meet the swift justice of the market soon now too.

>In this example, you can deduct your net loss of $13,500—but not all at once. The IRS allows you to deduct up to $3,000 in capital losses from your ordinary income each year—or $1,500 if you're married filing separately. If you claim the $3,000 deduction, you will have $10,500 in excess loss to carry over into the following years.

>You can claim up to $3,000 of this money per year against ordinary income until your excess is gone. You can also use this carryover deduction to reduce any capital gains in future years. So, if you realized $10,500 in capital gains in 2022, your excess contributions can reduce your capital gains tax liability to $0.

Do any anons have insight into the games industry? Why does it seem like only in gaming, the rules and limits of market dynamics play absolutely no role. In every corpo gig I've ever had, all they go on about is product differentiation.

Yet, in gaming, one relative hit/successful product leads every major producer to completely abandon their business model/development philosophy almost immediately to chase a trend with a sample size of one. This doesn't seem to happen in other industries, or at least it takes a lot longer.

Why is this? Why do things like NFTs, "games as a service", hero shooters, and other wankery immediately sweep development. Is it just because the leveraged financial risk is too high to not have some built in success guarantee or?

True true. I guess I'm wondering more about the corporate scum aspect. It just seems a unique feature of the industry that the corporate scum are more interested in limiting product differentiation that promoting it, which isn't how it works in say, banking or security software. You would have to struggle to find someone making battlefield 2042 throw out what works and copy the competitor blatantly in another context by corpo scum.

Well there are always trends. But typically you don't toss out your own differentiators to chase trends. Budweiser still makes bud light, they just also make a half assed seltzer.

If budweiser were a gaming company operating in the way gaming companys are doing things now, they would stop making bud and bud light, only make seltzer, and make it a premium one despite being formerly a budget retailer.

I have been looking into it and it's definitely a mixed bag and hard to interpret. The actual protests are laughably small, the media is even stretching it in saying "hundreds". Other than Foxconn, which was a specific case, most of the videos show at most 100 people at any given spot, usually like 30. And it's almost entirely in the one problematic province, so that would be easy to crack down on. On that front it seems like hopeful western pipedreams of a general uprising.

On the other hand, there have been millions of posts on social media, with ending covid lockdown being the #1 trending thing, which suggests the thing does have actual legs and isn't just the western media trying to live in fantasy land.

Yeah it looks like I may have to shift my china/taiwan invasion next year. This Taiwan election looks to have changed my views on next years black swan. I was certain it was going to be cause by the China/Taiwan War. But this election results and led me to believe the black swan event will be something else.

Also this taiwan election result will cause the last BULL RALLY before the crash next year. KMT winning big means the WAR narrative will be dropping. China will shift it's WAR rhetoric because it got want it wanted. Possible reunification without war because the plebs voted for it.

COMMENCE the last bull rally, the faux golden rally that will fool everyone into think A SOFT LANDING is going to occur. Inflation will come down dramatically. stocks, cryptos will all go higher. And people will REJOICE! only to be rugpulled by the moutherfucking BLACK SWANTRANY!

I am very curious about the internal political discussions in Taiwan. Nobody likes China, sure, but are they smart enough to understand we are not going to fight China for them and they won't withstand a protracted blockade on their own?

There's really no excuse now that they have the Ukraine war as an example. We'll send them ammunition and use them as cannon fodder to die by the thousands, while ultimately never coming to save the day and putting our own necks on the nuclear chopping block.

If China is really serious about it, for their own sakes the Taiwanese really need to tell the US to fuck off and make a deal with China.

So what exactly is the roundabout way of investing in AI?
Is it the energy sector? Hard materials sector? Microprocessor sector?
Despite all the hype of AI, I believe it is still underhyped. Same with the timeline of arrival: AI will master what is readily learned faster than we think, but will take a lot longer for it to proliferate than we think. My reasoning is simple: it is perhaps easier to program the AI than it is to make the materials necessary for the AI (batteries, material infrastructure, robots, microprocessors, as popular examples).

But what else would AI effect?

Many chinese were surprised to see people not wearing masks at the world cup. CCTV tried to censor the audience so they wouldn't notice.
The foxconn riots sounded like they promised $850 of bonuses and then they rugged the employees and just didn't give them out.
these were scabs who had replaced the october rioters.

Oil has also broken down. That was the mark of top of the final 2008 bear rally before the big plunge. Oil market figured out what was gonna happen before anybody else I think it has again.

Short end yields ain't cracked yet, but I don't trust yields. Bonds have too much forced selling. Don't think there's a real economic signal there.

Crude oil might slide, but I believe the floor isnt far for distilled products. Diesel margin production picked up recently due to astronomical prices. Many small producers in the sector of dirty materials find issues expanding due to ESG policies.

But they get to buy russian oil at a heavy discount. There's no way they're too broke to be able to afford 60% off ruski oil.

Yeah, to avoid rolling blackouts etc or to print their currency into worthlessness. Instead they play jewish games alongside the USA to try and restrain energy prices.
