Are NFT's completely dead?

(I get paid to build smart contracts in the space)

>> No.52626593

Also what are your thoughts on NFT lending?
How about group-buying / owning protocols (e.g. PartBid, Fractional — they get pretty much no use)

>>52626584
No I'm confident they will come back, especially in gaming.
Also Nike etc.

Not interested in using them in the slightest.

collectibles don't require blockhain to function. They existed way before NFT. Some boomers at merketing departments tried to keep up with times by using newest thing. I suspect they will back out of it though considering that NFT has negative connotation to it nowadays.

Group-buying for poor people?
Why would you want to share an NFT?

I did some smart contract programming in 2018 and I'm interested in anonymous voting algos.
I think NFT's will stick around for game items, as subscription mechanism (websites, like news pages) and (persistent) tickets for brands

Nike invests some money into a marketplace

https://youtu.be/7pOH6rf4DAY

Whether that will survive I can't bet on, but by the time ETH does its next 2x, some NFT's will do a 10x

Not sure Op. Personally I'm over NFTs and am currently focusing all my efforts on contracting Gay Aids.

The moral of the story is:

Gay Aids > NFTs.

Blockchains assure that both a) the collectible / art will survive even if the project doesn't and most importantly b) that you actually own it, as opposed to what's essentially a lease.

You may not care about that, but the market clearly does and it holds a high premium.
My question was more: how large is the actual market for NFT's?

>>52626688
Group-buying for diversification. My side project is to allow for group-buying on Sudoswap in particular, and buying / selling multiple NFT's at once as a group. I have no idea who the users would be as I don't own any jpeg's but the degen community is (was?) apparently pretty strong in NFT's and it would cater to them, whereas no other group buying protocol (really there's just PartyBid and Prysm) caters to them

I'm interested in anon voting too. It's possible on EVM with Aztec for example. I'm pretty much only interested in EVM

Wowzie, crypto guys invented ownership! We had no such concept beforehand. Just please stop, you're embarrassing yourself with such claims

I’m not sure right now with the stigma surrounding them. But, on a positive note, my 15 year old niece was telling me about how she wants to create and buy NFTs in the future. So there’s a possibility the next generation will give a whole new wave of popularity to NFTs when they start getting into the job market.

For example, with vidya people pour 100's / 1000's into games for items that they don't really own and which they're typically not even allowed to sell. Crypto fixes that

The concept of digital ownership wasn't a reality before crypto, no. It was at most a lease

So what you're saying people will be able to trade collectibles with controlled scarcity now? That's such great business plan, especially when people have no money to spend on utilities and food.

Wouldn't be surprised if people have fallen for this scam again, although NFT already has a negative connotation so good riddance.

NFTs are completely dead.

I've been limited in shilling on /biz/, a lot of my messages are now being flagged as banned text... But if you have any questions just let me know. Our cryptocurrency is a Bitcoin fork, so it's not on BSC/BNB or ERC/ETH. It's on a completely new blockchain.

If you have any questions, again, check out our linktree or just hit me up on TG.

It's ok mate, I'm sure people will buy those things, because of revolutionary concept of "digital ownership" introduced by NFTs. Never before people owned anything digital or were able to trade it. Such innovation, wow. Crossing my fingers for the future of you village.

The ONLY use of NFTs is that they are the easiest way to identify nigger-tier scammers.

Everyone who has ever profited from NFTs is a about 100 IQ points dumber than your average bitconnect scammer.

I got hired at my current job largely because I had created a play to earn NFT, and the company I work for was trying to ride the NFT train. This was almost exactly a year ago and they have just completely tanked in every way. So much so, that I believe NFTs are just dead. Throw in the FTX fiasco and all confidence in NFTs is gone. My company has completely dropped the NFT thing and I don't do any kind of work/updating to my own project. I can also tell by the amount of "professional shillers" hitting me up every day that they're getting more desperate. Move onto something new while you can still make money from your smart contract stuff, and transition smoothly. If you wait until the space is 110% dead you'll have a year or so of no work while you transition to something else.
