Im currently climbing the corporate ladder and moving every 2-3 years. I can buy a house with cash but im having trouble justifying it. is there a good reason for someone with career aspirations to own real estate?

You can build equity. Which if you care about making money is the number one way American families build wealth.

If you're in your twenties with no partner, probably it's good you keep moving to advance your career, and to try and settle down when you turn roughly thirty.
