I have a stupid idea and I'm wondering if it would work. I make about 90k/year and I pay way too much in taxes. I know that if you're married you get a tax write off. So what is to stop me from marrying a woman who is in prison for life to get her tax write off? I dont see any downside to this.

I moved to the rural south about a year ago (low cost of everything) and I've seriously considered starting a church. I used to think coastal liberals were being pretentious elitists when describing blue collar america / the bible belt but it's actually 100x worse in person, and I want to take the Joel Osteen pill as soon as possible
