They sell for $150+ on eBay. I think I may read them though. They made me think of a fren on here who told me to look out for high-end finance books for him and he would buy them. He probably got btfo in the bear cycle though. If not, I am thinking of you fren. Hope you aren't dead. eBay flipping thread. Finance book thread. And Austrian economics thread.

Based, OP. I love going through old bookstores. I'm surprised you managed to get those for so cheap. It seems like everyone is smart enough to google the value of stuff they put up for sale these days.

Yes. They hate Austrian economics. And they hate people getting things for cheap. They are probably seething and coping very hard.

I figure if you have fifty used books you might check some prices

If you have ten thousand you got for $1000 you're just slapping $1-10 on them based on the thickness or w/e you feel and going from there

Nice, I found an autographed William Gibson book at a Goodwill once. Nothing quite as good as that since, but occasionally find nice stuff.

Impressive, very nice. The binding is quite striking. I especially like finding books with this kind of esoteric subject matter that most people probably don't even glance at. Great find.

I once had a very similar situation with some Japanese books. Something like a yearly historical report or something or the other. Lugged em all the way to Japan with me, and no store wanted to buy them. Originally they were listed as multiple thousand dollars worth. If you can get the money take the money and go.

Don't hodl old books.

Here's a compromise: put them up for sale just to see if anybody will actually bite. You can always tell the seller you've decided to keep them.

Libgen is still up. Although I wouldn't bother scanning anything collectible. The best way to scan books is to gut them so you can scan each page individually, but that obviously ruins the binding. I've done it with some Japanese books that are still in print so I can translate/edit them digitally.

I would, but I am going to keep these ones. Topical to bitcorn. I like them. Plus I have a feeling they will increase in value with bitcoin. Crypto millionaires will want them in the future.

How much does that go for? I got IGOS' Red Dragon in all it's 90s cheesy font glory and that supposedly goes for a grand over Amazon. There is definitely a niche in occult books if you can buy them just as they come off the presses. Look at E.A Koetting
