Before someone says I'm fudding this concept was released by a Data Analyst working for Dfinity, Kyle Langham.

When ICP goes below $3 a death spiral will occur fueled by the sell off of node, staking, and governance rewards. That is why Dfinity is using subliminal marketing to get people to be okay with the idea of cutting staking / governance rewards. You better pray we don't go below $3 (And bounce up soon) otherwise we may see a sub $1 ICP by the end of this year. He says not to worry about it but if node providers have to sell millions of ICP every month during a bear market we will only dump regardless of BTC integration.

1T cycles = $1.30 = 0.28 ICP
729T cycles = $947.70 = 206 ICP

At this rate 1 million ICP would be burned and consumed as cycles in about 4854 days (13 years). In this time period, node providers will accrue 57.6 million ICP (based on last month's node provider distribution).

A lower ICP price means more node provider rewards (in ICP terms), but developers will have already converted their ICP for cycles before the price goes down. I'm thinking the death spiral is here.

My POV is the one of someone who saw it being shilled extensively around april/may 2021, and got called a faggot by a minority of shills on youtube/plebbit when I mentioned how awful the tokenomics were and the fact that VC bags were loaded up around 3 cents. Seeing the majority of /biz/ immediately agreeing with me almost made me feel hesitant, but I ultimately decided not to buy it on day 1 after its coinbase pro listing.

Since then I have never seen this token pump, I remember very clearly witnessing the bot candle from $2700 to 600ish, then 550, then 500 etc. Why? Why are there shills still trying to find value in it? I understand how foolish it is to look at an asset only taking its price performance into account, but at this point wouldn't you think that there is something clearly wrong with it? No other major project of this scale knew a fate like ICP. VC scams at least play pretend for a while, ICP did not.

It's mathematically impossible for it to be the result of "FUD campaigns" alone. Even during the fake FTX propelled rebounce last year, the pumps (rebounces, rather) weren't substantial to say the least. Just imagine being one of the /pol/turds who fell for the moonman larp.

Why. What could compel someone to hold something from $400 to $4 and not sell. What could explain the determination and hope from people at these prices when they only delivered Mario 64 of all things. I cannot understand it.

ICP's price has no effect on the price of cycles. The moment you burn your ICP you will get 1T cycles per $1.30 of ICP you burn. For example .28 ICP burns to 1T cycles today. If ICP was $1 then 1 ICP would burn into 1T cycles.
