alright bros, a while ago i bought a 4000 series polyvend(4424) for like 150 usd. I know it's a very old machine but all the buttons work, all the dispensers work, the screen lights up, i can put it in service mode, the bill validator cycles fine when it gets plugged in, the coin changer is brand new, but for some reason i cannot get the machine to accept any fucking cash whatsoever. The bill validator sounds like it works fine when i plug it in but it just wont take bills, despite having a new coin changer it doesn't detect any coins I put in. Yes, the coin changer has change in it and it's fully plugged in but the machine just won't detect anything. I don't think it's the board since everything else on the machine works fine, and if i set the price of a dispenser to zero it will still vend so it's in vend mode for sure. The only thing I haven't tried yet is replacing the cable that connects the changer to the board, unless I'm missing something else. It's just been sitting in the garage since. what do?

I also have a dixie-narco DNCB 162 machine but that one will need some work, the polyvend is so close to being done so I want to finish that one up first. Pic related it's the 2 machines

Yes sadly. I guess the big issue is that sharing niches = less profits vs shilling shutcoin = profits.

I'll add my two cents, tutoring is a no invest hustle and can pay legit in big rich cities or online. I have a few clients for 30€/h. You need to not be a mutt and know a language or be good with maths or sth. It's also a field where girls get the better part of it especially with young and/or female students.

After looking into the Polyvend 4424 it seems like this is a common issue. Was the coin changer and bill validator original to the machine, check the manufacturing dates? Or were they replaced at some point, possibly with incorrect parts. It might be a voltage issue, or a programming issue.

when i got it there was a coin changer in there but it didn't work and it was a completely different plug, after doing lots of googling i found the correct one with the right plug, i even had it tested at a vending machine repair shop and it works fine, but the machine just won't pick it up. I called the local vending machine boomer but he just told me to not bother with old machines bla bla. I think imma try the replacing the cable. I'm not sure if everything in the machine was original though

If you have a multimeter you should at least be able to test the cable for continuity if or until you can get a new one. Unless you did already. At least you'd know right away if the cable itself was bad. I'd say check any pin connectors both cable and machine itself for corrosion or mouse damage as well, but you probably did that too. It definitely sounds like based on the coin changer plug not being correct that someone who didn't know what they were doing was fooling with the internals. I hope you get it fixed.

I sold self help guides and world of warcraft gold
for a while. It was decent money.

The self help stuff rests on how you can gain traffic and camp
keywords. Its a marketing issue. I never scaled it up or automate it fully
which was why I gave it up.

The best day was like $300. My brother bought items from shops that import
crap from china and sold it on other platforms online. Keywords were the key for margin
as well.

Selling some basic items as steampunk costume was one of the better things he did.
