this is what you get when you power your chain using VC rug money. They sacrificed decentralization to get better performance and spent the majority of the year showing downtime and vulnerabilities. Avax beating sol in price is nothing, the best part is, this "eth killer" couldnt even compete with ethereum scaling solutions, namely polygon, who's passed it in mcap and took its place among the top 10 while also being top 3 in mass adoption while ALSO posting significantly better on-chain metric growth than solana.
