- be me german, using coinbase since 2017
moved to UAE in 2020 because of covid rules of germanistan
- now in 2022 they need to re-verify me and discovered I have residency status in UAE
- account was locked for 6+ months
- finally after FTX closure they verify me as UAE resident with utility bill and ID
- can't buy anything with fiat because they have no license here.

How did they discover you had UAE residency? I'm American living abroad and I've only ever had to provide my license or passport for KYC. Never had issues. I just use my parents address in the US.
