Valve releases one game every decade, everything else is maintenance.

9000 employees are moderators, selecting what can/can't be posted there

Valve as a buisness is a money printer with almost no shareholder interests and a CEO who does not care about profit first. Almost everything related to it is community made and its pretty feature complete. I legitimately think valve could abandon steam for the next 10 years outside of basic maintenance and steam sales and still stay the top marketshare of pc game sales. Twitter has had to constantly adapt with new features, user growth, and feature growth as that is what helps raise investor confidence. Musk simultaneously thinks twitter will be able to do more than it has with 75% less workers.
