Need some advice.

>emplyed as devops
>like: great colleagues, great tasks
>dislike: Currently only WFH temporarily, pay

>offered new job as devops
>like: fully remote, pay increases to 125%, unlimited PTO, better parental leave, etc.
>dislike: The unknowns

Am I just being a little bitch that's afraid of change?

You've got to jump ship to get ahead in this world. Every 3 years you should be moving to a new company or getting a raise similar to what you're being offered here

If you don't jump ship, you should be castrated made to suffer for a while and then killed. I know you will do the right thing. HH.

Back-end dev here. As someone who used to jump to another company in under 1yr, I recommend it.

Not only do you get a higher salary, you learn more about how processes and tech stack vary. You are given a great opportunity to broaden your horizon this way.

Lastly, I've met great colleagues everywhere. The first few months are the hardest to adapt but once you get the hang of it, you'll thank yourself.

Yeah if you stay in one place your network is very limited

OP here,

I basically asked them to match what my new employer was offering and they refused without even knowing the specifics, so I guess the choice is made for me

I'm in similar situation. I have been offered a job at a government council with 100% salary increase. My current job is great, I barely do anything and I'm getting paid pretty well. I'm afraid that I will have to do the actual work at this new place kek.
