'Evening /biz/bros.

What's the highest paying/comfiest trade job I can pick up? I've not done any kind of work in the field and I want to get into it. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Wow, really cool. And how many hours do you work a week and how long did it take you to get over 6 figs and what's the CoL where you are located?

Sick. I've heard some good things about HVAC. How's the workload?

Typical work week is about 60 hours a week, but I'd say I'm only actually working 2/3 of that time, maybe less. The company I work for now pays from the minute I get in my truck until I park it at home end of day, sometimes my drive home is 2 hours... It took me a little over 5 years to get here, and I did have to switch companies 4 times. I live in the Midwest. If you're not afraid of busting your ass early on it can be a good gig. Some tips if you do go into it, always be early, if they pair you with an experienced guy ask him questions (some will share knowledge, some won't, use your better judgement and don't piss them off if they don't want to) and the biggest one is dont stay at the same place too long unless you've gotten what you want. The only way to get a good raise is to go somewhere else... Shitty but true.

I'm an electrician by making 220k Cad a year. You can do very well for yourself if you work hard and learn to run projects.
