I do sat imaging for my job and something like Antarctica would cost around $3,500 per scan as they have less satellites in that area and would have to move them around. No, you are not going to find anything exciting because cartography is incredibly boring and if you find anything interesting, a cross-reference to 3D scans will usually reveal it to be a lighting trick. Also, inputting all this info requires special plugins for adobe unless you want to program your own front-end or lease one from Maxxar.

I think you're best off trying to start a company with 20M in capital, hire a couple engineers that worked on university cubesat projects and make a couple of cubesats focused on earth imagery.
It will take a few years and the quality will be a bit lower than what I showed you in the post above but maybe you find someone to sell it to and make a business out of it.
Once you succeed in that you can make more, bigger and better ones and fly them wherever you'd like and have full insight into the data.

1. It's too remote. If you look at international flight paths they don't always go in straight lines from A to B if that course would put them too far away from another airport to do an emergency landing, flights over the Pacific often do this.
2. You must be a very skilled pilot with a large plane. Over the polls your magnetic compasses will fail, you'll also have no visibility either from snow, or darkness (sun doesn't rise for 6 months over Antarctica) the winds blow at about 65 km/hr and with windchill the temperature is -40 C, so a single engine plane would never make it.

Now if OP is able to become an ace pilot with something like the Airbus A320 (pic related) then he might be able to fly to Antarctica to deliver supplies like pic related, but you're still going to be supervised because there is absolutely some experimental glownigger shit there
