Okay so here are my only non-retarded lessons:

1. Never add to a losing position. Once you've made your initial purchase of a security, if it starts losing value, the worst thing you can do is average down.

2. Don't buy things you don't understand. If you can't explain to another person why you've made this investment in five sentences or less, you shouldn't be buying.

3. Avoid bizarre pipe dream investments. Futuristic technology stocks are 99% dogshit.

4. Losers don't win. In other words, a stock that is trending downwards is likely to continue trending down. Stop listening to scam artists promising huge returns on some vaguely defined deep value stock when it's crashing *cough cough cathie wood cough*

5. Have a medium to long term view. If you buy something, either have a target exit or hold for 5 years minimum. Also, have an exit plan and stick to it.

6. Don't invest politically. The market doesn't fucking care about your politics.

7. Stick to your chosen strategy. Changing what you're doing every 5 days is how most people fuck themselves.
