Depends what you see your stack as. Purely as a store of wealth that you won't touch for decades, or general savings for day to day, week to week shopping. If the former, just stick with those coins. If the latter, get fractional gold and silver coins. As for a target to reach, just stack until you feel satisfy.

Literally nonstop posting and shilling and "oh this is the greatest investment opportunity of your life"

down 98 fucking percent, I'm never EVER investing in mining stocks again - fuck even my 800 ounces of silver I'm eating shit on because the premiums were insane. I cant believe you people actually invest in this trash. Only way to make a meager profit is buying the absolute bottom and selling the absolute top of the cycle every few years. Garbage

It is more accurate to think of PMs as 'wealth'. The globe has hit a saturation point with debt, leverage, and the utility of financial assets. Things are getting exponentially riskier given the nature of leverage, and it is not a foregone conclusion that you can just buy stocks and make money like has happened for the last 100 years. We are on the cusp of a major economic disconnect and removing your wealth from counterparty risk is a very wise investment at a time like this.

Business models that depend on silver for their operations to function will be buying up silver at any cost and will blow the fuck out of the banking industry that is forcibly suppressing the price because the quantity being mined at this price is creating scarcity. So they will be FORCED to price out retail. Tesla is far too big of a company to just lay everyone off because they can't find silver at $20 an ounce. They make too much money and will bid up silver to whatever the hell price they need to to keep operating. They will even blow-out the banking system and COMEX looking to suppress the price if they have to. Silver is a very serious bottleneck for everyone, and the interests of banks vs industry will come to a head. If retail is buying up investment silver and there is not enough for industry, they will be forced to price us out of the market, banks/shorts be damned.

I would like to take this opportunity to apologize for shilling Bayhorse. I casually endorsed it one time, in the middle of an effort post on a different topic. It was only a week or two later that I changed my mind about the stock, decided that it looked like it was topping out, and lucked into taking a small (~$50-$100) profit. You might have bought my bags.
However, I find it hard to understand how you might regret buying physical silver. If you look at the premiums that retail products are commanding, their prices have hardly ever been much higher over the past few years. So, its not like you really lost hardly anything by being a bit early. Also, there aren't many assets that increased in dollar cost over the past year, so it's not even like you experienced significant opportunity cost.

I don't think the whole Comex thing will reach a head in 2023. We can mine silver. But the great reset sentiment is still looms and we have predictors happening right in front of us. China buying up farmland. Bill Gates buying up huge farmland. The people who controlled the farmland were lords/barons. and the people who worked it were the peasants. Couple that with the increasing water shortage/droughts and you'll eventually have a mass exodus of people moving from the west to the east. Land prices skyrocket. Food prices skyrocket. The rich entities that buy the farmland now secure their future as the Lords of the great reset.

I bought my first Ag in 2012, when it was about $37/ozt. I kept buying as the prices dropped, buying into the conservacuck rhetoric that Obama was going to cause rampant hyperinflation (sound familiar?). I kept buying as it got down to the low teens. I kept buying as the prices rose (but not high enough to sell), then fell again. I always bought enough to get free shipping. I shopped for best prices at purchase time. Now the prices are slightly higher but nowhere near enough to break even. For silver, I'm down overall by 20%. If you started stacking within the last half-dozen years, that was the good time to start. But don't expect to get rich any time soon, no matter what the doomsayers tell you.

This is a correct representation. Sucks that I know this. Played a lot of D&D throughout my life.

Though the popular image of the unicorn is that of a white horse differing only in the horn, the traditional unicorn has a billy-goat beard, a lion's tail, and cloven hoofs, which distinguish him from a horse.

LOL, LMAO even

It’s a hobby, simple as.

Metals have always been an absolutely trash “investment” and anyone telling you any different either makes money selling them as such or has been brainwashed by the aforementioned.

You will not find a single asset class that has not absolutely blown gold and silver out of the water as an investment over the long term. People buying gold and silver today will be lucky to even break even after premiums within this decade.

I buy physical gold and silver cause it makes me happy to own. Sure it’s a store of some value like holding cash but it can appreciate vs cash though I am under no illusion that it is a prudent investment vs stocks and bonds over the long term cause it’s absolutely not cause it has zero yield and a high tax rate.

Yeah trust me I knew that going in.

I have maybe 5% of my networth in silver, but my assets in real estate and stocks and crypto has performed exponentially better than precious metals.

PMs are only good for sneaking it in your asshole to another country and bribing border agents, thats about all the use I can think of.

I just hold precious metals so I can laugh and compare it to my actual investment returns.

I think expecting people to admit that they have mad a mistake this early is a bit naïve. If you understand cognitive dissonance, you will understand that most people are so ignorant and fixed in their ways that they will fail to learn anything from this experience and continue to make the same mistake until the day they die.

I could also use this argument for many of the dumb mistakes that the majority of people have sleep walked through the last two and a half years. The pandemic and lockdowns, the out of control currency printing has all been allowed by people who are incapable of critical thinking. And to make matters even worse, the individuals that could see through all of this represent such a small minority that the only way that I see sensible behavior becoming the common again is for survival of the fittest to kick in and filter the literally midwits out.

So here's the good news. If you can see enough of the what is the truth to be very seriously interested in precious metals you have a lot of potential to be able to save everyone that you legitimately care about. The bad part is whether or not you can live in a world that you quote "save the day" and allow your loved ones to continue if they fail to learn anything from the whole experience.

I for one have figured out that at the end of the day you can only save yourself. No matter how much you talk to your loved ones, if they cannot see the truth after a fair effort from yourself to teach them you will not be able to force them to learn.

"Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference."

For both groups but especially Boomers, they've got decades of experience screaming that you're full of shit. It makes some sense, things have always just worked and now you're saying this time is different? We've seen previous events where alarmists say the same things we're saying now and the alarmists have been wrong, or at least never right to any insurmountable extent. I'd like to be wrong almost as much as I want to be right, honestly; stuff's going to suck for a while before things get better.

It makes some sense; lots of people do spend hours a day ripping their hair out over shit they can't control and it gets them nowhere. Look at /pol/. He's wrong in that preparing your financial future IS something you have power over, and confronting grim realities is part of that. There's the fear of failing by doing something different, which is a big part of why people use that logic and "this time isn't different" when they're not helpless and things may not be the same, I think.

For my part, I tried to have a conversation with my mom about inflation and couldn't get her to think past "to me, a dollar's a dollar." I've resigned myself to making sure she has a room wherever I am and not saying "I told you so" too often.

I don't feel entitled to anything, but when my diabetic boomer alcoholic veteran neighbor comes rolling around on his motorized wheelchair bitching about having his leg amputated, and how the government sucks, it's kinda hard to have any sympathy at all when the only thing keeping him alive is the very government he's bitching about. They have zero concept of taking accountability for their actions, and 95% of the people from that demographic are the exact same way.

Excellent!
I should also have mentioned that in my sheet, I consider all non-super-numismatic (basically ounce coins that cost about $50 or more) to be priced at current spot. That really hurts my profit/loss because if I go to sell, there should be a significant uptick in their price.
But I couldn't speculate, hence the conservative estimate.

Just nudge them a little, see if they get into PMs on their own time. Their freeze-dried food will probably help them through hyperinflation so I wouldn't worry too much if they don't get into stacking.
Also, it's probably good to remind them how stupid it is to have large sums of cash sitting in the bank.

So I want to point out that 'inflation' and hyperinflation are two very different beasts. High inflation rates of 11% or whatever fake CPLie the government reports is commonplace in the Era of fiat currencies. Hyperinflation on the other hand is not when the CPLie hits some magical threshold, but instead when the desired cash balance of the average person drops to zero because they believe that that they need to spend the currency now before prices increase even further.

Hyperinflation is a purely psychological phenomenon and can be triggered by something as basic as the price of groceries or gasoline. Don't forget that the entire world is on a fiat currency standard which has never happened before in recorded history, so for all intents and purposes we are in uncharted waters; so to speak.

Here it's real bad stagflation we are facing. It's basic goods who are getting hit the hardest. And you know why? Because the US are fucking dead. You are a nigger if you can't understand what's going on.

You lost the USD hegemony, you lost the SWIFT monopoly, the OPEC betrayed you, you lost the petrodollar, you lost your industries, you lost your racial and cultural cohesiveness, you lost your soft-power, you lost control over your institutions. You lost all sense of reality. Now you live in a judeocracy where the tribe is in absolute control over everything, and they decided to dismantle and sell you bit by bit, until nothing remain.

Winding out all of this like it's nothing is just a display of extreme ignorance and misplaced arrogance. The old world order is OVER. Your (((overlords))) decided it wasn't in their best interest to keep the US as the main power structure. Now you have been emptied of everything that was making you valuable (commodities, patents, industries, army, strong white nation) you will be left to rot.
Enjoy your annualized $1.2T commercial balance deficit, because importing all the free shit from Asia wont last after your currency dies down.

Saying "stop the doomposting" in a country where you can go to jail for refusing a kike to mutilate your kid's genitalia and transform him into a freak, a country where elections can be stolen so brazenly and where every day is basically a talmudic humiliation ritual is fucking rich. You should maybe have listened to the doomposters, especially after 9/11.

Considering the median income hasn't even doubled from $13/hr whereas the mortgage (7.45%) on a median price home ($348k,) has almost quadrupled ($1937.09.) They definitely had it easier back then. Given our experience these past 2 years, we definitely know what inflation is like and it's a foretaste of what is to come.

Is it possible to live a nomad lifestyle and carry a bag with gold coins around?

I have heard of a case in Argentina where customs confiscated 107 1oz Au coins, and deemed them "suspicious" because the owner didn't have a receipt for them
Lets say you are travelign around the world, and your job involves going to different countries from time to time. Do you think it'd be dangerous to carry a bag of coins? Could you get robbed by custom officials even if you keep receipts for everything you have?

Yep. Some countries are better than others, but you always run the risk. I read all to many stories of people carrying PMs or wads of cash being held up and having it all taken. It was one of the reasons crypto was shilled in its infancy to protect wealth against this and not be forced to use banks.

You need to get creative and weight up your costs depending of the nomad lifestyle you're trying to achieve. If you're going to be bouncing between many different countries all the time, then you will need many different types of fiat anyway to live that lifestyle. The idea that you can live on pure gold coins traveling around the world is complete fantasy at this point. When you've established your locations, set up safety deposit boxes in those countries and store your gold in them. I imagine nomads who are making a fortune on the go do just this. They're not living paycheck to paycheck so they leave multiple commodity nests in all the places they visit. Not only does this diversify their storage if one gets confiscated or raided, but serve as havens if you got into a bit of trouble in one of your countries.

It's a mighty complex question you're asking here, one that only you can answer because everyone's circumstance is unique.

All is forgiven, fren. If you know a better, safer place to put dollars than in the assets that have been money through almost all of history in most of the world, I would like to hear about it. Stocks and real estate are both riding on a gigantic, unsustainable debt bubble. The fact that you suggest waiting until the bottom means you know this. But I think your notion that we will hit bottom in a few months is erroneous. We have fifty years of inflation and an absolutely unmanageable level of debt to unwind before we hit bottom. I think the can has had the last kick it can bear.

XRP looks like it will win its case making it the first crypto that has truly freed itself from legal chicanery. Once this happens adoption will begin across the west as the powers that be have already hinted that this XRP will be involved in their new international payment systems. This was the whole point of the SEC's suit. By making XRP the subject of legal quandaries before other cryptos they automatically grant it legitimacy once XRP wins the suit.

Just make sure you get any coin off the exchanges in a cold storage wallet once you buy them so you don't lose them if and when they go down.

Monero is the only cryptocurrency that has serious value because it satisfies a niche very well that fiat and PMs cannot, which is as the payment processor for darknet markets. Organized crime is also moving into it for money laundering.

Big downside for speculative purposes is that institutions don't want to touch it and everyone is afraid of regulatory pressure/exchange delistings as it's "drug dealer coin". Probably only a good idea to buy if you genuinely believe in it's ethos and aren't going to be pissed if the price drops.

Avoid the garbage other people are recommending to you. Darknet markets are the ultimate litmus test, if it fails that it's entire value is dependent on
>pls Gary sir, do not regulate my coin sir! Village is needful is very good money sir!
which is the most fragile network imaginable.

Personally if governments get even more pissy, just keep records of your purchases in a traditional paper folder. Yes, it is. If you have enough money to buy in bulk, you can buy and take delivery at the spot price - at least for now. I can get packs of 10 capsules for 3 euros from the same dealer I order coins from. I did buy some 39 mm ones, but that order got delayed for some reason (maybe one of the coins I bought wasn't in stock).
A lot of the coins in that pic already had a capsule, especially the Perth Mint and Scottsdale ones.
Now I've reorganized my smol box, and there's enough room in there to store over twice as many coins, but it's not very sturdy and I doubt it will support 2 kg or more without being reinforced.

If you invest in a Roth IRA, you will not pay capital gains tax. You just have to wait to reap the profits.

You can give away $12k/yr to as many individuals as yo like, with no-one paying tax.

Inheritance is taxed only on huge amounts (millions) - and only six states actually have that tax.:

That's retarded.
Metals are the best investment I can possibly find as I look around right now.
>Very low downside risk, as price has already been forced low by jews.
>Fairly high upside potential, if certain scenarios happen to play out, such as a coomex default, inflation spiraling out of control, etc.

EVERY OTHER GOD DAMN THING is in a mega-bubble.

So you explain to me how, in the era of the everything bubble, an asset that is NOT in a bubble, and has at least an OUTSIDE chance at significant paper gains, is NOT a great investment.

Again: LOW RISK, HIGH POTENTIAL REWARD.

Name me one thing better and I will sell this big ass stack of rocks and use the proceeds.
But whatever you name better not have COUNTERPARTY RISK, because every counterparty these days is an OVER-LEVERAGE JEW PONZI that I want zero part of during a mass unleveraging event.

They'll just charge you CGT afterwards once they have their new CBDC set up. If there's a record of you having sold stuff for a profit during hyperinflation, you can be sure that they'll still find a way to tax you.
There's even a sort of precedent for this, in Weimar Germany, pre-hyperinflation debts were re-instated in Rentenmark (with 25% forgiven) once the hyperinflation ended.
