Bitcoin blockchain is really busy.

>> No.52445940

I know lightning is the scaling solution, but is 7 TPS even enough to move enough people onto and off LN and to rebalance channels in the long run?

>> No.52445955

>>52445940

Yes. Most people will have to buy Layer-2 Bitcoin directly without using Layer-1.

i.e. they will have to give blowjobs or whatever they do these days to get Bitcoin on Layer-2 instead of Layer-1.

Unironically small blockers. Bitcoin was never intended to stay at tiny blocksizes. It was always intended that as computing power increased, blocksizes would increase accordingly. Security would remain the same and throughput would gradually increase to match real-world growth. Instead, security gradually increased at the expense of TPS and a legion of shitcoins were born in an attempt to address this.

I know this makes very little sense and I don't believe it either but the alternative is people using BTC as a currency which is ludicrous.

>> No.52446410

>>52446171
This. It's 100% logical Satoshi wanted to increase TPS was technology improved. Compare the capabilities of CPU's etc now to 2008.. He KNEW about Moore's law and so do all the faggot small blockers.. We don't need to have BTC nodes on fucking calculators for fucks sake..

Channel factories solve that problem. Not to mention layer 3 shit is already being developed in the BTC space that everyone is sleeping on.

it is true. satoshi even said himself that the block size was temporary... I'm not pushing for a BSV block size but at east 10Mo per block would be a good start

The main issue is the transaction capacity of bitcoin, 7 per second, and the 10 minute confirmation. Bitcoin is not designed to be used as money, its more likely a value settlement layer that suits more the financial system than the common people needs.
The transaction limitation creates a fee market where the one that pays the highest will have their transaction confirmed. If Bitcoin ever became the backbone of the financial system, as desire every bitcoiner, bitcoin will only be used by the financial institutions, governments, etc, only these players will be able to pay constant high fees to settle their value exchanges. So in the end bitcoin becames a tool for the system it was designed to destroy...
