The algorithmic stablecoin itself was already enough to target Terra/UST/Luna by any means necessary.
But, if you've managed to make in addition a bunch of pegged national 'stable'coins (KRT, for example, pegged to Korean Won) with cheap, bidirectional, instantaneous swaps via decentralized means (TerraSwap, Astroport), built-in directly in the wallet and even incentivize distribution/utility of these coins by airdropping some alongside native token's (Luna) staking rewards.
And, on top of that, connected everything through IBC with other chains.
And, on top of that, made a decentralized tokenized stocks protocol (Mirror), without KYC or regulations.
And, on top of that, made a decentralized borrowing/lending platform (Anchor, Mirror lend.), which can utilise all the above-mentioned 'national' tokens, stablecoin, native token, wrapped tokens from other chains and mirrored tokenized stocks...

Then you kind of just made your own global decentralized economy which can say 'fuck you' to everything else outside of it, if you can design it self-sustainable at least to some extent. It's not cucked with fractional reserves, taxes, inflation, central banks, regulations, welfare checks, artificial crises and bailouts. It doesn't require knowledge of your identity nor total obedience to malicious actors to be able to participate in it.

Then also there will be no government for you to flee to.
It's the kind of project that should be designed impossible to takeover and as decentralized as possible, because there is no doubt that somewhere along the road CEO will become 'suicided' and/or an appointed malicious actor.

Self-sustainability is the hardest part here, but imo, it's possible. That's why DK did what he did with Anchor's APY. It's the easiest (and worst) solution. It leads to inevitable (usually postponed, though) collapse, even without the malicious intent from external forces. Anchor's APY was "unjustifiably" high and unsustainable without incessant money inflow from the outside of the ecosystem.
Now, let's dream a little bit here.
Reduce ridiculous unsustainable APY from Anchor, add more self-sustainability means to the ecosystem, add security measures for the inevitable bankrun attempt from malicious competition, look into every possible bit of criticism to predict possible attack angles and means, take out human factor from peg defence: make collateral or/and community pool defend the peg via smartcontracts, make software safe switches for depeg price triggers, make progressive inhibitors for swaps to- and -from stablecoin depending on swap position size/liquidity ratio, audit the code, audit it again, audit the audit.
What would it take to be able to "shut it down", if everything is done right?
Firmware killswitches (e.g. Intel ME)? Global power grid shutdowns? NEMPs?
