People still seem fundamentally confused about how layoffs effect stock price. Layoffs make a stock price go up because it means they are reducing costs. Layoffs are only bad for people getting laid off and competing firms who will have less sales because less people will have jobs and disposable income. You don't actually own anything with any brokerage, but yeah nobody should use robinhood unless they're so poor they can't get options approval with a real broker and even then if they haven't paper traded their ass off and learnt something along the way they're still just gonna get heemed. Nasdaq already got heemed -40%, with its individual stocks -60-90%. The same happened at the dot com bubble, tech got heemed but S&P didn't start its decline until 6 months later and the decline was much more gradual + not as steep.

The bubble was mainly the tech market (and by association crypto). 3500 was very close to the bottom of tech stocks, if not the actual bottom. Right now S&P is still propped up bigly by oilers, because they don't drop until the recession is fully priced in (O&G always gets heemed during recessions).
