In the short term, sure, but fiat is designed to be inflationary. The fed's entire purpose is to prevent a "deflationary crisis," the moment inflation goes below target the fed will turn on the infinite money printers again. And if inflation remains high eventually people lose confidence in the currency and it leads to hyperinflation. Its only in the short term you can have fed tightening while people remain confident that long term inflation will be low that leads to a strong fiat in the short term.
