The fact that he believes a virtual machine is a sufficient air gap is one. It's completely unfounded to use a virtual machine as a last bastion, especially for some browser extension. Using a browser as a method to store is just... bafflingly retarded, the equivalent of putting wheels on a boat and calling it a car as some sort of mutilated joke and bragging about how it drives as it putters around in its 0.5L glory. Perhaps if he had a hardware wallet that had encrypted wallet files that had a password manager on those vms behind an encrypted drive, sure. But a browser?
