all the crypto could disappear tomorrow and the world wouldn't look or function any differently

i've been saying it for years, but the crypto scams are actually a blessing in disguise. They're so blatant and unsophisticated that they always end up being revealed. A lot of dumb or just unlucky people lose money, and thats too bad, but its a good thing this is happening. The more people get scammed or become educated on scams, the more they start to get suspicious of traditional markets. They start asking if the same scams that crypto perpetrates are also being ran on the stock market, just that the stock market is more sophisticated, has better PR, less obvious scams, and a captured regulatory body which provides the illusion of justice. And if thats true, maybe they start asking a more fundamental question about why any of these financial instruments have any value at all, why they're considered more valid than crypto, whats backing the dollar really? Who decides what something is worth?
