Loans in FTX or from FTX because I don't see how having a loan from FTX is going to cause any problems. Also, all of my holdings are off exchanges

Think about it this way.
You have a billion dollar loan from a company. This loan like many high capital loans is paid in installment. This loan is required for your operations to continue functioning normal.

Suddenly you don't get these loans anymore. The company giving them to you is now bankrupt and filing ch 11.

Your operations are now at risk. You can't continue normally so you are forced to rely on taking on more loans from other companies also that were effected by this company going bankrupt.

Corp loans are very normal. Most large companies have tons of loans to and from competitors because it's the only way to prop up the entire market. But when one of the biggest fish get fried, their corpse casts a very dark shadow.
