I should be more confident in Kraken because they have some form of proof of reserves, but I’m not. I am unironically fearful, uncertain, and doubtful of any central exchanges (ticker CEX)

No good decentralized way to get in and out of crypto, unless you're willing to meet a guy under a bridge. So everyone is forced to go through CEXes on their way in and out of crypto and most people are too lazy to get off them once they're in. They offer various incentives to stay too

Genuinely I don't understand the benefit in risking it right now. I pulled all my funds off Gemini this week. ACH transfers are quick and they have options to wire funds as well which I've used in the past. It's not like it takes a week to clear like with fucking Charles Schwab and even if it did I'd rather be a week late and have money to buy than lose all my funds trying to get the very bottom.

Legit question. My logic is that the reward can outweigh the risk.
1. Gemini is fully regulated, NY Limited Purpose Trust. This is the same level of regulation as Coinbase Custody Trust, Fidelity Digital Asset Services, and NYDIG.
2. Gemini is Full-reserve/100% reserve banking
3. Next week or 2 could be fucking insane with a stock market drop on top of more crypto panic. A drop under 10K will send us over the event horizon.
4. A scamwick to a CME Gap at 7K or 3.5K could happen to liquidate Saylor and others, i.e. Blackrock Gangster move
5. I could pick up BTC FOR NOTHING from my regulated account while niggas is scared.
6. It is a fraction of my stack, so a loss would suck, but not completely devastating.

I hope this doesn't happen. I'd rather play it safe and wait until Feb to buy, but the possibility of hitting the jackpot is there in the middle of all this insanity.
