Meh, I don't care. I'm a Senior SWE and I do actual work. The company invests a lot of time in me and knows they lose a lot of training overhead. I'm the last to go. Useless managerial/HR/paper pusher roles go first. My team is still hiring too, and my company is private.

Not all engineers work at meme ass Twitter or Facebook. Live by the meme die by the meme, their TC was mostly in stock options anyway.

Depends on your company and your value. Do you work on products that actually generate revenue for them, or are purely R&D shit? The latter is bad. Does your company have a solid, flexible revenue stream, or is it a stock market funded piece of startup puff? The latter is bad too. You should have judged your company on its solvency and resiliency when you accepted their offer. I avoid a lot of big name tech because I know they go through serious, market-based ebbs and flows.

I just moved to dev after doing QA and Devops for 1 year(I've been here for 5 years).
They immediatly assigned me an item and was able to depeloy it on time.
The company is big and have some really important clients(Im assigned to the big guy)
Usually Nov to Feb is really slow and we have little to no work so its a lot of spikes and pretty much nothing to deploy.
I guess what worries me is that Im the newest member on the team and some other experience guys moved to other projects.
