easy come easy go. life is a dance, OP, give and take. wealth can be divided up into three categories:
gold & art, land & animals, food & drugs. rotate between the three to make more of what is most valuable at a given point in time, your body converts the three essential macronutrients via the kreb cycle: use a similar understanding to rotate between the assets. True low time preference is never being 100% all-in on anything unless you're young or getting a substantial position upon something that you know you can hold to $0. The moment you have a considerable amount of something and it has appreciated, obtaining more of the good doesn't make what you have more meaningful. Likewise, when you realize how short your life is, you see that money is a vapor that can come and go easily and that it won't solve all the problems you face. So you must learn how to dance for your own sake, because once the money is ripped away from you, you will need to dance your way into the next life
