I used to help run my local unis astronomy club and that's part of the reason I dropped out honestly. So elitist all of them only caring about intellectual pissing contests and accreditation and nowhere near as open minded intellectual rebels they think they are. Tried to say how I thought we were heading into hyper inflation and how psychedelics were part of the future for mental health and was saying buy eth at 5 dollars. Always got the same fucking pozzed answers going with the status quo but with just more word salad and repeated lines. Now this isn't all of them obviously but it is way more than one would think. My dad was a drop out who, from his trailer in his 30's, built a successful electronics manufacturing business working as a musician for most of that time. It's not that I don't think it's valuable to get a higher education and go through the hoops, but what I didnt like was the elitism and lack of real world experience and risk taking.
