They have MASSIVE markups that the average consumer is too retarded to understand. Literally 10x on most things in Lowe's or Home Depot.
BUT...and I know for sure because I deal in the liquidations of these companies and have for 20 years.
Right now they are literally using propaganda (TRUFLATION) and lower corporate margins to pretend inflation isn't as high as it is.

They've cut margins to keep prices lower in a bid to maintain their market dominance and not let proper actors get in the action.
They will go bankrupt after awhile if it goes too long.
