Do you have any coin shops in your area? Anons may be getting tired of my talking about scrap/cull bins but you can buy decent coins at melt price if your LCS is ran by based gentiles. They won't have the scrap on display so you'd need to suspend spaghetti and ask them about it. I don't have any LCS anymore but this year dad has gotten dozens of worn or dirty but otherwise nice silver dollars (saves the peace dollars for me), over $120 face in Canadian and lots of other foreign silver for exactly melt price as calculated by actual scale weight at his shop. Pic is an example of a single scrap price purchase and similar hauls can be repeated a few times a week. Things like worn common barbers and standing liberty quarters which the shop sells for melt enjoy robust demand and can be flipped immediately for profit on eBay, it makes no sense to stack anything with premiums while those cheapies are still flowing. No one will conveniently knock on your door or email you offering 0% premium constitutional but if you put in the tiniest bit of effort you may find a shop that would be happy to sell you stuff at spot that otherwise would be sold to a refinery for less than spot. YMMV but I've seen at least 2 other anons who buy from scrap bins too so it's not a unique situation.

The Yahoo links for metals and stocks seem to have been changed and the sheet's broken. Foreign currency still works. I've recovered my stock prices and Dow and S&P by swithcing to FT, but NASDAQ and metals still elude me there.

Silver performs well, perhaps a breakout is close
Last week, silver rose in one day by something like 8 percent

The paper price of silver is $21, but you need to pay $35 to $38 for a one ounce silver eagle coin, so real silver price is at least $35 per ounce

The world is not about you. Spot price IS used as a reference for the vast majority of us. It's a target price when buying. It's a gauge for general market value. It's a price point for negotiating sales prices. Blurting out that spot is meaningless because you choose to work on a personal scale is what's meaningless.

I have about $100 pounds of them. Bought for $110 per 35 pounds from Ebay. I also check rolls of pennies when banks will sell them to me because it is a fun little way to enjoy stacking without blowing your paycheck every two weeks. I believe all commodities will be vacuuming up dollars as the currency is debased to prevent a collapse of the bond market. One of the best ways to profit/thrive the coming collapse is not only going to be picking target assets that do well, but also the QUANTITY of assets you own. All kinds of money/value will be looking for a home and valuable materials in coin form is enough of a risk/reward that I am ok spending a few hundred dollars for the exposure.
I think this pic is profound, and alludes to how much value is pent up in these metals. All of the energy, manpower. All of the demand now from across the globe. The only reason commodities are so cheap is because the debt market is fueling a ponzi scheme whose participation has been able to garner you immense returns. Once that system shuts down, no one is going to be wanted to hold this shit. The capital markets can't just earn endless returns and literally fund people's non working retirements in perpetuity. It is going to stall out eventually. Especially without cooperation from our global trading partners who send us $700BN in goods in excess of what we export. The world is ready to come online to the capitalist system and we're going to be feeling the pinch.

No, Royal Mint didn't do a bullion version of the 1989 Sov, and as far as I know, EIC only made their 2021 restrike in proof as well.

The cheapest way to get that design would be a proof normal Sov (the EIC is a Double Sov).

Britbong here, have almost 2k to spend on silver, it's a little pricy now, should I hold until it goes under £25? The budget and possibly the mid terms could affect the price right? I think the pound is in inexorable decline but we could see a dead cat bounce in a few weeks.

Also here's a fake Krugerrand that I added to my collection, never know when you might need one if you know what I mean.

No it was like a 20% premium then, and I don't pay any premiums now. Case in point this nice chunky 10" footed sterling silver salver the seller offered me a $250 discount on a few minutes ago so it was only $159 total with tax and shipping, ought to weigh about 600 grams with a melt value of ~$375, I'll update upon arrival. Good shape with no monograms or customization so it's worth more than scrap too, gotta luv cheapies.

Add in refining and other associated costs and you’re down to about $275 in sellable silver which you might get 90% spot on the market. Still looks like you’ll come out $100 ahead. Good for you but definitely not worth the time and effort. You’ll need to collect 10 kg to even get a refinery to make you a bar which will take forever if you only look for sterling at massive discounts.

Midterms have no play in this. The US mint will continue to limit production of eagles to the general public. The cheaper silver gets, the higher the premiums get. If you have paid attention, the premiums on eagles have more than offset the drop in spot. Eagles are a great buy in the face of rising or dropping spot price.

Total refining and related costs are about 13% of the silver weight, with the bars they return to me being worth a minimum of $2/oz over spot based on LCS generic bar purchase price, and I can sell for more myself of course. So at worst I'd get around 3% under melt value if I didn't keep it intact and retail it at a premium as the nice antique it is. I'm sure your opinions on the subject are very convincing to you but they're obviously not rooted in any of the expertise and direct experience I wield every day. Minimum batch weight for the best rates is 100ozt+ not 10kgs btw, but 10kgs is childsplay for me anyway.

Still, it scratches that lottery itch, I guess. Theoretically, there could be a nugget or a spot that's really filled up, making it also worth it financially.

So theoretically, I know the hardrock sources, but they're all very small and have been mined and are overgrown. Eventually, I gotta go on a few hikes upstream, but I really can't find the time for it right now.
I don't have an accurate scale, but I'd guess that's way, way less than a gram. 0.0something g at max.

Not every bit, but the vast majority yeah, and even the hardware is compromised. Watch the videos by Christopher Domas to see how deep the rabbit hole goes.
It takes a lot of effort and knowledge to run a sane system, and in the process you'll be using older hardware designs which of course isn't very suited for crypto. So it wouldn't be wrong to say it's broken by design.

Likely never, officially. But there is a real possibility that their influence wanes to the point that there is a de facto collapse. The world is edging toward a global economic schism with BRICS on one side and ZOG on the other. A halving of the demand for dollars would be a dire wound for it's status as a reserve currency, even more so if BRICS can create a successful, commodities-backed, competitor. And how many of our allies would be tempted away from ZOG control by such a system? Japan is the largest holder of US treasuries and they are seriously considering dumping them to save their Yen, which is currently shitting itself to death. ANZAC are already huge trading partners of China. Would they be willing to stomach the economic pain of writing off BRICS? They're already feeling Russian sanctions, albeit indirectly. Basically the Fed is top dog because the world says it is. If enough of the world goes their own way, then you will see a disproportionately large decline in their economic power. They would obviously remain important domestically, but even here people would be looking for alternatives to the US dollar for saving, investing, etc. The inflation resulting from a global rejection of the dollar would be too much for zogbots to bear. So that's my prediction. The Fed will still be there, lights on, Powell still jawboning monthly, but no one will really give a shit anymore.

But the fake in the video is numismatic. Numismatic fakes are common, but passable bullion fakes in gold are rare if they exist at all. What's the difference? A numismatic fake is a common mintage pretending to be a rare mintage. A bullion fake is a base metal coin pretending to be a precious metal coin. Numismatic fakes are relatively easy to make. It's just a matter of engraving rare features onto a common mintage. That's why it requires careful examination under magnification and an authentic coin for comparison. A fake gold bullion coin must present with the physical properties of gold, which are unique. The only element with the exact density of gold is tungsten and it is about as unlike gold in every other way as possible. It is extremely hard, brittle, dark in color, and has different electromagnetic and resonant qualities than gold. Tungsten is also very difficult to manipulate. It can't be cast, stamped, or machined into a facsimile of a coin. So you can't just make a tungsten version of a coin and gold plate it. About the only way you could make a tungsten coin that would have the right appearance and density would be to hollow the legit gold coin out through a hole in the rim, fill it with tungsten powder, and then seal it up. Maybe a really skilled jeweler could do it. But even then, the electromagnetic and resonant properties would be wrong. I have yet to see a passable gold bullion coin.

People are buying Comex silver faster than it is being mined. When it becomes harder to buy due to a lack of it and a financial fiat systems collapse happens, the true value of silver will be discovered. Same goes for gold, especially if the central banks revalue it.

This is why people are dumping their fiat money and preserving their wealth in gold and silver at an unprecedented rate. Nobody trusts the banks, nobody trusts their fiat currency when governments are printing it into worthless paper value to fund their empire war against Russia and China. It's the return of real money and the graphs show how much time we have left to get the cheapies before you can't buy silver and the holders can charge massive premiums.

In the past the governments of the world would have been able to keep the masses ignorant of their value through their TV propaganda, but we live in the internet age and the individual can now bypass all that crap and share with others the value of silver and gold in an instant. I didn't start stacking until the invasion of Ukraine, and since then I've come to the point that handling fiat money fucking disgusts me once I opened my eyes to the bankster con. It's bollocks because people are buying silver for their own reasons, not because WSS told them to. Money printing inflation, governments giving out billions to corrupt institutions, uncertainty through war, bank accounts being frozen because of political tyrants, all of this in the last couple of years has damaged the reputation of the western financial system, and this is just scratching the surface of it all as many of us remember the bullshit that happened in 2008 as well as hearing about bank bail-ins. That has fuck all to do with WSS silver squeeze, we're outright seeing an increasing exodus from fiat globally.

I never said it wasn't, I said it was bollocks that WSS thinks it has the power to command people to buy silver. It's an arrogant position to have when there are multiple reasons contributing to the jump, with the reduction of spending power being the main cause. People start asking questions and begin to pay attention to how the financial system works, thanks to the internet videos explaining the monetary fundamentals. In fact I think that's the best way of putting it, the masses are rediscovering monetary fundamentals. The first jump is always the scariest.

>bank accounts being frozen because of political tyrants
Basically, what got me stacking real fucking quick was the part about the canadian truckers and their supporters having their bank accounts frozen. And also similar shit like in Kazakhstan where they tried to require vaxx pass to access bank funds.
I was already pretty fed up since the very beginning of the "pandemic", since it was an obvious shit test. That's when I started stacking canned food and other supplies, long before I knew all the details of how the bankers fit into all this. At some point I started thinking about also buying gold, but since my money was spread out in many different accounts overseas, it was a big can of worms that I resisted until I just couldn't ignore it any longer. And yeah it was a huge PITA because I had to spend entire days from morning until night on the fucking phone trying to reach some cunt so I could actually have access to my own money. And I had to write notarized letters, etc. And I had to sign up to some currency conversion platforms, even buy a smartphone just for that (I only had dumbphone before, and liked it that way). And then I had to time the transfers so I could get the best currency conversion rates, which was kinda rough with the USD being all over the place this summer/fall. But finally I got it all done, and the last of those savings I spent a couple weeks ago to buy a few more gold krugs and silver coins.

Really? Wouldn’t know where it could be from at 10 km. 10km upstream, I’m pulling out the same stuff as I do 50 km downstream . I tried to find some literature on size vs distance, but couldn’t find much. There’s some lead and silver deposits in limestone somewhat close, but if they contained notable gold, that would have been know.

i ll try and dig up a graph done by the USGS that shows the relative shapes of different bits of gold as they have traveled, Generally the rounder the gold the further you are away from the source, but your gold still has edges in many cases and is still relatively course in grain size. Its likely this gold had an ancient source which has since been obliterated by time, it traveled down into the river but it hasnt had enough time to be beaten totally flat.

Could it also be that large (quartz) chunks with gold in them are traveling down the river, getting eroded to free the gold in them? Not totally ruling out the close by source, but it really is a lot of gold (the whole river like always have some flakes in gravel, over the kilometers, that adds up), and the area has a long mining history and is settled since the Middle Ages , so it’s quite unlikely that a large gold deposit has been overlooked.
On the other hand, someone found 3g nugget (largest know for the eastern alps, afaik) and loads of really angular stuff (I post a stolen pic later) in a tributary that’s know for gold, but the know source was way to far away for that, so might still be some secrets in them hills.
Gravel that fills The Valley is mostly deposited there during the last ice age and now it’s mostly all static.

yes this could well be the case but gold like that isnt usually found as blobs, its wires and dendrites, which take a while to get ground down into those pieces you have. You would be surprised how often too these veins get missed, but more likely the entire original source was destroyed by erosion, and now the gold your getting is being redistributed seasonally by flood and spring freshet. The gold is sporadically mixed in the glacial gravels and till, and when it is eroded by river action, it redeposits the gold your finding in with other heavies as well. What do your black sands or blondes look like? Got any shots of them?

that is a very interesting mix of traveled and angular gold. Usually any sharp edges wear off after a short period because of how fragile gold is. Here is a good comparison from one of my claims, pic related.

The nugget on top is dendritic, and has traveled about 100-200m more than the nugget below, which is angular, has fine sharp points and has quartz in it on the other side. The sample on the bottom is likely from within 100 meters of its source, while the top may be from 200 or more meters away. Both pieces are from the two known sources above my workings, two different deposition halos of quartz veining.

Lots of garnets, mostly ground down. Not seeing much black sand proper, but when finishing my cons back home, I always have some magnetic stuff at the end (Not surprising, there’s various ferric ore deposits all around).
Also lots of amphibolite at the end since I’m downstream of a mountain range made out of them. Found a pyrite contain piece of ore in them once (felt like baryte), gotta find some time to test some tributaries in that range.
Among the heaviest rocks I know, so I always have large pieces in my heavies. Really annoying. I gotta take a sieve with me.

Bullish on the boomer rocks anon

I'm launching a YescryptR16 algorithm (PoW) Bitcoin fork. It will be very interesting, because we already have a CEX listing confirmed a week after launch and a handful of influencers on board to make a push on this.

We have plans to also fork 4chan and make our own imageboard, with adspend payable in our native coin.

There are a lot of details I'd like to share here, but it seems that jannies have made my info sheet "banned text". If you're interested in learning more, launch is in approximately 2 weeks so you have some time to get educated about the project and prepare for launch. actually i have already changed my position on this. seems like the financial system is just another instrument, with people in the know hoarding gold i wonder if we actually will see a reevaluation. i think the past 100 years have been an effort to bankrupt and hollow out the west to weaken it, and empower the east. i think the elites prefer to rule over east asians and indians. east asians take to the compulsory school system really well and indians already have a caste system. not sure about russia, i guess they are just playing the great pwoers off each other, im not sure what the plan for russia is in the long term

So when gold is remonetized, if it starts to get short in supply and its exchange value starts to go up, the rate at which the supply grows through mining will also go up naturally and organically due to the higher motivation to keep pace with increased demand. Could there be any better money than gold?
