Wow so tough
Let's see how my ancestors fair against a zogged police force that can shoot 5 billion rounds a second and also have 24/7 satellites and communication networks that pinpoint anytime you do anything off of the beaten path

That's only a 26% tax rate which is extremely low for the US. I kind of doubt it unless it's just income tax but you said paycheck.

>Income tax alone usually 30% is being taken out per paycheck
>FICA Tax + 7.5% more taken (double this if you include what the employer pays
>state income tax 0-10%
>municipal taxes, ambulance, or yearly one time small taxes (less than 1%)

After insurance and benefit contributions, it's even less. I get less than 50% of what my paycheck should be. Then I'm taxed sales tax when I buy anything. Then I'm taxes capital gains if I sell a security. Then I'm taxed for owning property. I have an even worse tax burden because I don't have a spouse of any dependants, so I get no deductions. Everyone with a kid was getting like $7000 tax credit per kid per quarter because of covid. It makes me sick.

It's the same in the US aside from the last point. Only time it isn't is when someone is married with a few kids then the tax burden is less. I walk home with 50% of gross.
