The entire bull run from 2008 onwards was from ZIRP and QE. In 2008 the stock market crashed but the Fed was there to support to markets and stimulate the economy. But this time around the Fed will be hiking rates into a recession to purposely overtighten. The market has never experienced anything like this and is still in denial about the coming pain. 1800 is very possible. I think we'll get to a point where no one wants to buy stocks anymore. Most people will prefer to keep money in money markets and treasury bonds because stocks will just be perpetually declining.
