With each passing milestone of $50 and $100, there is always people panic selling, thus dropping the prices that then fluctuate quickly and eventually stabilize to half of peak and slowly build again to the new plateau.

Projecting by the rate of % increase over these past couple of weeks, we can assume the price of Litecoin will hit $450 or even pass $500 before EOY. It might not either, but that is a risk we're all betting on, even the people who are buying in right now.
