I have one year left before graduating. I am dreading becoming a wagie. (Have crypto but thats a wild bet for me obviously). What should I do?

I’m pretty comfy. I went from working in a call centre for ten years to getting my first graduate job recently. My boss doesn’t breathe down my neck and leaves me to my own devices. I get to work from home most the time which is great. The work is far more interesting and challenging. The pay isn’t much better yet but I’ll be on almost double what I earned before in four or five years.

Maybe because I know how shit things can be I appreciate it more but right now I’m very happy.

You won't graduate. The university will demand tuition greater than the loan money afforded to you and you'll need to sell your crypto at a loss to pay for it, still falling short. When this happens they will lock your transcripts until the full balance is paid and further loans cannot be used to pay past semesters. You'll not be able to attend another school because your transcripts are inaccessible and employers won't be able to validate whatever credits were granted, forcing you to work menial low status jobs. Or you'll be dead in a car accident. You seem to be certain about your path but God has a way of foiling whatever aspirations or perceived woes you have. All I say is with your presumptuous attitude, you have much worse in store for your life and dare I say eternity.

Only crack and meth does more harm to your body and brain than alcohol. If you can’t deal with life at least go for something relatively benign like weed. It will fuck with your cognitive function but not anywhere close to the same as alcohol. And your liver, kidneys and CNS won’t be nuked

>> No.51728189

It could have been worse. It was a local government call centre so it didn’t involve selling anything and you weren’t expected to arse lick customers or take abuse from them. There was a fair variety of tasks including housing repairs, social work calls and community alarms calls so at least it wasn’t wholly repetitive. The pay was ok, I got time and a third at weekends and I worked eighteen hours at weekends whilst I was at university.

I worked in cold calling for BT selling landline packages for three months - that really was hell on earth.

By all means feel superior to me because you have a jaded and cynical outlook. If I was in a job for a week and wanted to die I’d be asking myself what the fuck I had done with my life. You will not earn 100x your investment with crypto. Look for a means to getting a job that doesn’t bore you to tears.

Contrarian crabs in a bucket. It must be tiring constantly looking for a way to tear complete randoms down over the internet. Does it even make you feel better about your life, or do you do it purely out of habit? Remains of a shitty attitude from when you were a teenager.
