I feel like 100 might be a bit optimistic even. Most price appreciation happens through hype and ICP is severely lacking in that department. It does have solid tech, but for that to come into play, I think we need a decade or so at least.

Cardano might not be as normie as Shiba, but it's pretty normie as far as L1's are concerned. Avax has a big marketing team, something ICP does not have. It may be less normie known, but it still scraped a lot of crypto users to buy avax. Agree about link, but link is pretty important for defi.
The main reasons I'm not too bullish about price (but honestly 100-200 is still bullish imo):
macro economic factors are really different that post 2008
lack of normie attraction coupled with a 'bad image' might give some resistance, even among semi normies of reddit
diminishing returns in crypto
even if dapps on icp get popular, it remains to be seen how much this will impact the price of icp versus the price of the dapp token itself

Thats why I think 100-200 is a decent estimate for 2025-26

It takes one good announcement from Dfinity to attract techsavvy people and after that the brainlet fomoers wil follow as usual. The more garbage something is perceived as at the more attractive it looks when it stays green. It's psychological which is also why ICP is seen now the way it does.
Shit like BTC integration could make ICP have a golden bullrun but that begs the question: What the fuck are they waiting for? It was supposed to happen in May.

Personally I believe ICP will perform 'well' in the next bullrun just like everything that isn't a dead project always performs 'well'. It just won't be the big winner.

we seem to agree here

Regarding btc integration, it's something never done before so it takes more time as the team can't really predict what happens during development. They are also trying to make it faster than in their initial runs, the testnet is up now. But I don't think the integration will have any meaningful impact on price, not immediately at least.

They’re making sure everything is perfect. You can’t rush this shit. If they have to move back the date they must move it back even if it looks bad. It needs to have no flaws. Once btc integration is implemented other chains will be implemented soon after. Doge nfts, btc nfts, multi chain gamefi, and a ridiculous amount of other opportunities make icp bullish. Only one dapp needs to be successful and it will kickstart everything else. Icp is the new webstack. What Elon stated about wanting to have a decentralized twitter is the basis of icp but applied to the internet as a whole. Once everything is built and fine tuned y’all will see.
Every coin y’all mentioned only has one use case which is payment and cannot be used for anything else. Icp has all sorts of use cases. It’s nothing like those other coins at all. Offers a whole new web stack where security is implemented by default.

Nothing has immediate effect on price (Just look at the merge) that's why it's worth it for Dfinity to deal with it now. That way the whole integration thing has been around for a while when the next run starts and it adds up to the value of ICP.
