Appraised and Insured for 12 Million USD
Amedeo Modigliani - the most forged artist of all time
The woman with the black tie - Paris 1917
This painting is not catalogued.
This painting is a sister piece to a catalogued painting of the same name.
The catalogue is made up of 25% double works, triple works, and one set of four of a kind.
The catalogue cannot be updated and has not been since the 70s.
500 pages of forensic data.
No evidence of nuclear fallout in forensic analysis.
Provenance from the artist’s family.
Auction houses wont touch it because it is not in the catalogue.
All forensic evidence shows there is no way for this to be a forgery.

Does anon have a suggestion on how to turn this into money?

Any additional context to this? Why can't the catalog be updated?

The artworld is pathetic, corrupt, insular and disgusting. It needs to burned down and nationalised. Art is too important. Our collective culture is too important.

Why is a piece of paper someone drew on worth 12 million dollars?

>> No.51708386

Usually because someone is willing to pay 12 million dollars for it.

The cataloguer has been dead since then. Ambrogio Ceroni started the catalogue a few decades after the artist died and wrote tgere is no way to know what the artist made because he gave away his works, traded them destroyed them, etc. His landlord even took canvases as pay and lined mattresses with them.

The elements match for the time period, the family has endorsed it via a legal sworn statement. The canvas and pigment have no trace whatsoever of strontium and cesium so it is pre-Manhattan project. The origin date is between 1916-1939. The insurance company is American and so is the AAA rated appraiser.

It is the same size as the sister piece and has slight variations consistent with the artist’s style. Again the catalogue is 25% multiple variationed works.

I have 500 pages of data in the dossier if anyone has any suggestions. I will post an email shortly.

Anon none of that is art. Art is all around you. Our elites and yuppies are soulless. They haven't made anything truly good in 100 years.

This looks like something made by an art student in high school
Any painting that sells for such high prices, aside from famous stuff like monna lisa etc, can be considered a money laundering scheme.
It's the same concept as nfts. People can buy them and sell them at any price they want and no one can say shit about it.
