Why is everyone glossing over the fact Eric Schmidt just got involved with Chainlink because of Steele Perlot?
A fund owner by his love interest Michelle Ritter. Among other verticals they invest in : "new money and distributed systems".

While many theories were true, like SWIFT, the truth always seems to land somewhere in the middle (they're just doing a POC).
And in Schmidt's case, his gf pulled him in, and he's just obliging because he has more money than he knows what to make of it.

Now it might be a lucky coincidence that planets are aligning, as Schmidt seems genuinely interested, but we're far from Sergey being king-made and other hiding theories.

If you're honest with yourself, the whole talk while very interesting was very amateurish on Sergey's part.

You could see Schmidt was actively trying to mentor Sergey even while on stage. It was quite wholesome. I hope Sergey learns from him.
If there's one thing I'll criticize Sergey for, it's when Schmidt said he'd had enough of dealing with regulatory agencies and that he was leaving it up to Sergey to deal with that; instead of stepping up to the plate, Sergey tried to joke it off and said "touch wood. I'll just focus on the tech and leave that to somebody else". Sergey, you're the leader of the most important crypto project, WHO ELSE is going to do it?
