I was following BTC very closely from 2015 until mid 2018 and then I had a bunch of personal issues IRL.

I started checking back in on the crypto world and that small blockstream team is running 6 orbital satellites running one way blockchain data feeds?

What's the consensus on that? Blockstream was "those guys that keep arguing with the main net devs."

The consensus is that Bitcoin is fucking dead in the water; the devs take years to implement the smallest of changes that Satoshi most likely would have done himself in weeks (if not days). Development has centralized itself around a small group of Blockstream affiliated devs because there's literally nothing to develop apart from minute changes to how you send a coin from one wallet to the next. ETH could have been built on BTC, but the devs shunned it, so it became its own blockchain FFS. And to top it off, the community is a toxic, retarded cult that hates progress, and they beg the government to lock up anyone they arbitrarily deem a scammer.
