Hey /biz/

Opening my options here to financial management.

26 Floridian chad
salary is 63500 annual
mortgage is $1500 and no other debt
roughly 18-19k in savings and retirement
I was an idiot as a kid. Stopped doing drugs, got a degree and am 3 years into my profession.

I've worked hard to change my life around and want to help secure a comfy future. What should I do to retire by 35?

Recommend looking into kneepads, the bottom is in and you can go far if you know what you're doing.

Max out your 401k contribution each year, hopefully your company matches. Start a Roth and max it out too. Go for aggressive profiles for both. You're young enough to absorb any downside. Learn to cook. Only go out once a week so you don't die of boredom but every other meal should be homemade. Don't buy a new truck. Find a 10 year old one and drive it into the ground.

My company matches 50% for the first 6% of my compensation and they will only vest 25% for the first year since I just started.

As for everything else, thanks anon.
