I'm terminally ill and realistically have about a year left. I've got a decent chunk of investments (crypto and traditional) and I'd like to transfer them to my mom when I go. How can I minimize the amount of taxes taken by the IRS when this occurs?

Thanks fren I've accepted that it is what it is. Life is a series of random events and sometimes you get a band hand. At least I don't have kids etc that would be impacted. She already has a house but I'll keep it in mind.
