Human beings are unique in-that mating is comprised of both alpha male competition as well as the formation of pair-bonding. They aren't mutually exclusive. In nature, women are Chad's bagholders; they raise kids while Chad fucks around.

Modern instruments like child support and divorce rape have flipped the script on alpha males (physiological and financial) instead making pair bonding the superior choice unless you're a sociopath. (see: Black absentee fathers and welfare queens)

tl;dr you should only have sex and children with your best friend.
