i live in frogland and this is how it is here. you can't evict someone easily, sometimes the procedures takes years. so the boomers sit on their empty houses instead and in some cities like paris 2/3 of the units are only available on the black market. with rates like paying €1200/month for 10 square meters (~107 square feet)
