Oldfags that held through the 2018-2020 bear market after the 2017 run: Did you learn from your mistakes and do things differently in 2021 or did you repeat most of it?
Did your experiences help in 2021? What did you do differently?

I made this thread. I am OP. I forgot to say that I held only BCH and then only BSV.

I couldn't do anything differently because I never got back the gains I lost when the market crashed in Jan 2018. Just held a shitcoin for years only for it to miss the entire bullrun.

peaked at $850k in 2017, lost almost everything margin trading in 2018, went from $40k to almost $3m in this bullmarket, only cashed out 100k for "safety" this time because i was sure eth would hit 10k. now back to like $250k and not margin trading the bear market this time. i definitely learned from some 2018 mistakes but made different mistakes this time. it's looking much better though, in 2018 no one could definitely tell if bitcoin was gonna see normie adoption, but now it's for sure. so it feels more like a safe bet this time
