I really can’t say for sure but I believe the banks will freeze your account until they get an explanation of what’s happening. They’ll definitely report it to the IRS, you might get audited and have to deal with that headache. It’s not that you are breaking the law, it’s just you want to avoid a major hassle and red tape.
